The Iowa ACEs 360 Coalition is catalyzing a vibrant network to respond to ACEs in Iowa. Our success is our partners' success. We don't work alone.
Our strategies
In 2019, we released a new strategic plan to carry us forward for the next 3-5 years. That strategic plan centers on three strategies:
Advocating for Systems Change
We provide backbone infrastructure and leadership to cultivate and sustain a network of advocacy partners across the state. Advancing Knowledge & Growing the Movement We provide backbone infrastructure to support a coalition of partners in Central Iowa. We communicate our work with partners throughout the state. Catalyzing Innovative Practices in Prevention & Healing We act as a leverager and partner for pilot projects and innovators based in Central Iowa. We look for opportunities for smart collaborations to fuel innovation throughout Iowa |
Who we partner with
Everyone is invited.
We believe addressing ACEs and childhood trauma requires us to take a 360 degree approach. We must consider how to prevent ACEs by working with youth-serving and adult-serving organizations and systems. Prevention and healing go hand and hand; in order to prevent future childhood trauma, we must identify practices that help children and adults heal. Our structureIowa ACEs 360 is establishing itself as a 501(c)3 organization and is growing its capacity to accelerate impact across the state.
We do not provide direct service, consultation, or referrals for individuals. Our focus is on building a network of many leaders who work together and independently to address ACEs. |
Our coalition members can engage in the collective impact work in these ways:
- Community Learning Circle
At least twice a year, Community Learning Circle events share new information through speakers and provide an opportunity to network with others involved in the ACEs movement. - ACEs Action Groups
Action Groups move work forward in alignment with the strategic areas set by the ACEs Steering Committee. Action groups include the advocacy coalition, sector-based work groups, and ad-hoc committees. These groups meet as needed. - Central Iowa ACEs Steering Committee
The Steering Committee provides leadership for the ACEs Coalition. It is made up of stakeholders representing identified organizations or coalitions who work together to prevent and mitigate the impact of adverse childhood experiences.
