Learning Circle for Faith Leaders

Understanding the impact of trauma on our health and well-being can inform how we support individuals within our communities of faith and in our outreach activities. This training will especially help you consider how in a time of great uncertainty and stress, we can promote healing within our selves and with others.

Those who attend the webinar in person will receive a certificate after the event.

Responding to trauma during the COVID-19 pandemic

Thursday, April 30
1:00-2:30 p.m.
Online through Zoom

In this time of crisis, leaders within communities of faith have an important role to play in understanding and responding to trauma.

This online training will help you:
  • Differentiate among trauma, crisis, and distress
  • Recognize the relationship between faith communities and recovery from distress, crisis, and trauma
  • Describe how the self-capacities (managing feelings, recognizing and using inner connections, and feeling worthy of life) can help people heal
  • Identify tools beyond the usual that can help people stay connected during this disconnected time
